Clean hotel with attentive and caring staff and delicious food. A good restaurant and a main bar available. Late check-out. Overall enjoyable stay in the winter.

Excellent service from Harry, who made our afternoon tea good with his attentiveness and humor. The food was superb, particularly the cakes and scones. The abandoned tennis court and other derelict structures detracted slightly from the otherwise well-maintained grounds. While our room was clean and charming, an iron would have been a useful addition. Despite the high drink prices, our stay was enjoyable was nice.

Very nice front desk staff. The afternoon tea was heavenly. The house is beautiful with well-kept gardens.
It was uncomfortably warm throughout the hotel. Even in the room it was - despite the window open - not cool. The heating was off. From the spa I was a little disappointed. I had booked 2 treatments 1 hour each and was free after 1 hour 15 minutes with everything done.

Cozy stay with fab breakfast
Just spent 2 nights in a lovely superior double room. The staff were super nice and attentive, but I missed those cute little hors d'oeuvres at dinner. Breakfast was the highlight, though, fresh eggs benedict and warm croissants were amazing! Just wish the carpets looked a bit better.

Very nice big park. Great hotel terrace. Stately mansion. Large room with large bathroom. Large parking lot.
Scrambled eggs at breakfast was sloppy (like liquid eggs). Selection at the buffet was very poor for this hotel.

I would recommend it to others as staying here was very very good. Recently refurbished, fairly clean, spacious hotel, the location is stunning and lovely to the event on time. Every staff member is top-class and helpful and strives to meet your needs. The main bar is stylish, enjoyed this place.

The staff were extremely friendly and could not do any more to make the experience any better. The room was a superb size and the lack of noise was wonderful. The bed appeared soft at first but we slept amazingly well as soon as our heads hit the pillows, sleeping late every morning. Breakfast finished at 9.30 am but would perhaps have been more enjoyable to have been 10.00am. The food was amazing and the choice at breakfast was wide and included the best scrambled egg we have ever eaten. Both in the Restaurant and Harry's Bar the food was excellent and well worth the cost. We picked the perfect hotel to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary and had a wonderful time hopefully returning again soon.

The staff were polite, helpful and efficient. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast outstanding.
The car park for the hotel did not seem to be as large as the car park for golf and there was a gravel path which meant cases had to be carried.

The rooms were very large & light with everything that you needed for your stay. The staff were very helpful & polite particularly the gentleman that carried my luggage & was also then the waiter for breakfast.
I was really disappointed that the health club was not available during my stay as this is the main reason I booked this hotel. I think I should have been made aware of the repairs taking place before I arrived.
